"My goal is to be able to tuck in my shirt without looking like I am trying to smuggle a keg out. I also love acting and would like to be an in shape leading man not an out of shape supporting actor being lead around by my gut."
We had one of those plastic and cement sets when I was a kid. I used to mess around with them a bit here and there but never knew much about working out. When I joined the Marine Corps I ended up with a team leader that use to wrestle for Texas A&M and he taught me a lot. I got in great shape. After that I joined gyms here and there but never to the intensity like in the Corps. Now I am ready to get back into shape once and for all.
Why I Love It:
You feel incredibly energetic and in touch with yourself. You can feel every fiber come alive and want to live more. It is exhilerating.
How I Stay Motivated:
So far I haven't. That is why I am in the shape I am in. Now I am going to draw on my kids. I want to be around for all of their important things in life. My parents are currently 80 and 81 and pretty mobile compared to people much younger. So I figure if I have a chance to live that long also I don't want to look like this all that time.
BB Accomplishments:
So far the only fitness accomplishments are to blow the progress I had in my 20's.

This is my first day picture of my Body for Life Challenge back view.
My goal is to be able to tuck in my shirt without looking like I am trying to smuggle a keg out. I also love acting and would like to be an in shape leading man not an out of shape supporting actor being lead around by my gut.
Goal (Long):
My long term goal is to make little, permanent life changes. I don't want to rush into this and give up. This has to be a long term lifestyle change. After I get where I want to be then my goal is to let others know how to do it too. I'm tired of America being known as the fattest country. I am going to make sure I am not a part of that statistic.
Magazines, healthy cook books, internet and my wife really knows a lot about what is fattening and what is not.

What are your secrets for making healthy food taste great?
I like to put a squirt of lemon on my vegetables. It gives them a nice burst of flavor without using butter. Pan searing meats with a nice blend of herbs and spices on them. No heavy sauces.

What is your favorite "healthy" dessert? Give the recipe if applicable.
Strawberry shortcake. Fat free angel food cake. Frozen strawberries with a small amount of sugar to make a sauce form. Fat free whipped topping.
OK, I did nothing in October to better my fitness. I'm not going to sugar coat it or give a bunch of lame excuses. I just didn't do it. My suitcase full of excuses was opened up and every one of them pulled out daily and used until I realized the month was over and I let myself down. Fortunately...
Hey man, so far everything has went well. About 8 lbs i have gotten rid of and have noticed some good results in such a small time. Looking to drop another 5 this month. I'm feeling good about it, and am still charging forward. Over a month in, and sticking with it. Best of luck to you!! Sounds like we are both on same page! Take care.
sorry for not answering been a little occupied. that's great that you feel better. I'm fine too, although last week I felt a little sick, so I just trained two days of the week instead of five. but this week I'll work more intense. Peace.
I can't wait to see the new progress pictures. It seems quite a few people I keep track of here on BB have progress to show at the end of the month. Good luck!
hey bud. good to her from u. I ctually received (from a friend in the US) the just released new KUTLESS cd. Great stuff as always. Been working out earlier today on the tunes. I think u will love it. How is training going? G.
Hi, I've been great. I really couldn't go to the beach like I wanted to; you know, stuff happens. But anyway. so I couldn't get the tan. But anyway I'll try to be more often in the sun here in my hometown. How's your progress going? having good results? I hope they call you on that job. I'll have that in mind on mass today
If the book is not giving you what you want you can always go back to the website and utilize what it has there. It has weightlifting as well as high intensity cardio print outs and all the nutrition info you need. I believe the Champions book is more about motivation than the actual nuts and bolts of the program. His original book was the best.
