How I Started:
I am no stranger to working out from high school sports to military to a law enforcement agency. Adult life, children, relationships, career, took me through the weight rollercoaster. So last year, I made the decision of when to retire, I have about 4 years. With that on the horizon, question was how do I want to look, what to I want to be doing? I wanted to be in better shape. I started with Weight Watchers and was very successful, then cardio. After a trip to a fitness competition last June, I saw the potential for myself to look that way and so the journey starts.
Why I Love It:
It's like creating a piece of art.
How I Stay Motivated:
Self talk, especially through workouts. Pushing myself know absolutely no body else can or will get my body into shape but me.

Continue to lose visible body fat and change my shape.
Goal (Long):
Im a tall woman but with extra weight I appear shorter. That is not cute. I like a tall lean look and for the first time, my goal is to really develop a visible muscular look. Not large but strong. I also want to maintain agility, so stretching and flexibility are important. I want body fat under 15%, about 10%. To compete, of course, the body fat would be lower but right now I remain a fan of those that push to competition level. I'm not looking to be a size 2. I think I was in kindergarden at that size. But I'd like to be back in single digit sizes. AND I don't want to have to struggle to stay there but maintain a regular good routine of working out and nutrition.
I am so sore. But my competitive nature has driven me to return to the after work romps around the work gym in the morning with the rest of my staff, mostly guys showing off and women trying to start a program. They entertain me. I watch and listen but ignore really who is where and just...
I'm about to knock my own myself out -- yesterday I smacked myself in the eye with the boxibng glove..then twisted my ankle ad today, my back hurts.... but I'm about to go at it again...thanks for the inspiration, LOVE U!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey thanks for the compliment on my progress pic...I'm learning just how important diet is. I haven't been training abs any differently...actually I've been training them less...haha! You are looking good, and I am still amazed at your transformation! Way to go!
Well I was planning July and October however i injured my shoulder horribly and I had an unplanned for surgery (not the shoulder) I was out of the gym for about 10 weeks or more .. so I am slowly getting back in but my shoulder still hurts .. i am hanging in there :) you are inspiring to look at :) keep up the good work !
i just read your blog, but i think you are coming along nicely. I see great definition in your arms, back, calves and a sweep in your thighs. good luck!
