To get in shape and change my life by getting to a healthy weight.
Goal (Long):
My goal is to lose about 100lbs and to become the person that I know I can be. In high school when I was getting ready to attend a military academy I was in the best shape of my life and was extremely active in sports. I felt great about myself. Being physically strong was empowering and helped me to be mentally tough and confident. It was also my senior year at the peak of my fitness and energy that I started dating my future husband. After a difficult decision, I ended up not going to the academy and instead going to a great University and doing ROTC. My sophmore year, however, I got married and my husband immediately went off to Iraq and I got out of ROTC. I got so depressed during that year that he was gone that I gained 50lbs. Over the next two years I ended up gaining another 40lbs. Throughout the four years I did fitness programs and bootcamp style workouts and yo-yoed between 10-20lbs but nothing sustainable once the program ended. So now, I need to get this under control and lose the weight before I start to have major problems and before I start trying to have children. I want to be healthier, fell more like myself again, and be able to dance the night away at the clubs.
