When I Started:
Dec, 2007
How I Started:
5 years ago my life was shattered by a divorce. I quit school and started working full time. The job was incredibly stressful. When I started that job I weighed 145 pounds and had just passed my last karate test before black belt. Over the last five years I have gone from fighting in tournaments and training at least once a day to merely existing: working a sedentary desk job and eventually stopping all activity. I now weigh 218 lbs and can barely walk up the stairs. I am taking my life back starting today!

It can only get better from here!
Not much progress...kinda depressed about that-I must remind myself that I'm in this for the long haul and that little baby steps will add up to a nice long journey! :)
I want to get back into fighting shape and get my black belt.
Goal (Long):
The best shape that I've ever been in was about five years ago and that is the shape I want to be in again. I had just passed my last brown belt test and I could spar all day and still want more. I felt on top of the world and the confidence that I felt started being incorporated into all aspects of my life. I wasn't afraid to do ANYTHING-no that isn't true-I was afraid but that didn't stop me! I felt best at around 145 pounds-any less than that and I seemed to lose strength. I want to stop feeling ashamed of myself.
It's been forever since I've written-so sorry! Finals week is two weeks away and I've been busting my butt doing homework. And....I turned 40! EEK!!!! You know what is totally cool about it though? I'm doing what I want, and I'm not stuck in a job that is killing me! Woo Hoo! Working out has...
Marie I am glad your getting back into the routine. Life gets in the way sometime but make sure your health is a priority. Oh and happy belated birthday. You are so going to make this year a great one.
Ahh... you sound WAY busy! Don't forget to breathe in there somewhere too! Yes, the Nova is still purring quite nicely. :) Although it did break down on me the other day - fuel line. Quick fix though. PT has been helping me build a bootay! So I've been a pain in the rear lately. I'm such a dork! ;) Have a wonderful Mother's Day!
HELLO OLD FRIEND? sorry for not greeting you and the rest of the gang, It's kinda hard to be original to each and everyone of my friends, in light of that, have a safe and joyful weekend. Party hard and play safe. have a good one!!!!
NQuit- I am making my rounds again. Have a great Spring! Best of luck to your health and fitness. I am a week into my Keto Diet and doing fab so far, as I have lost 4 lbs as a result and 9 pounds with combined changes I have made since Sep. Keto has made the biggest and best difference for me. I have also recovered from Easter, whew! Hit me back with your updates.
