I was in college and would always play around with weights but nothing serious, and I just remember how I felt after I finally could get up two plates (135)on the bench. I kept setting and reaching higher goals and I was hooked from there.
Why I Love It:
I think there is no better feeling than the one you get after you finish a good intense workout. I love this masochistic lifestyle because it is you against yourself. You are pushing yourself. Lifting teaches me to not only train my body but my mind as well. Not one workout goes by without me having to will myself to do something my body tells me I cannot. Lifting keeps me sane.
How I Stay Motivated:
I am just starting to truly learn my body. Gains keep me motivated. I lift alone, so I have to self motivate. I believe staying fit will take me to where I want to be and what I want to accomplish in life. I constantly stay focused on my end Goal, not where I currently am but where I will be.
Trying to put some size on. I wanna compete.... SOMEDAY!
Goal (Long):
I want to own my own gym. I want to get paid to train and train others for the rest of my life. I want to show others the joy and personal satisfaction one gets from challenging themself in the gym on a daily basis. I want to be a living example of what a healthy diet, relatively low stress lifestlye and demanding workout schedule can accomplish in ones life.
Weight Goal:
I want to GAIN 15 lb
Bodyfat Goal:
6%
Upcoming Contest:
Palmetto Cup

I will have to give you a very generic answer I am affraid. Over the 14 years I have been training I have played around with rep ranges to find whats best for my body. EVERY body part is different. When I find what works for a body part I stick with it. I can give specifics if you want.
Honestly if you keep your diet and check and diet correctly most of it will go away. Adding some low intensity cardio will make the results even better. I'm sure you will do great but hit me up if you have any questions. I look forward to your progress.
Troy, thanks for the props! True, it is always a plus to see my fellow military showing the rest of the world how it’s done! You've built solid physique and lifting some serious weight while you are at it. Expect to see you on the competition stage soon!
Hey good luck with that show! I'm still debating on which one I want to do. Definitely the Dexter Jackson Classic but thats not until later in the year.
