1st shots-Jan 3rd, injuries have healed and 3rd week back training at 80-90%intensity.
I'm planning on competing for the first time ever on 6/17 & 8/16 in natural bodybuilding. I want to be under 5% body fat and no less than 175lbs. I'm not training to compete, I am training to win!
Goal (Long):
In 2008 I will compete for the first time ever, I am stoked! I was riddled with injuries in 2007 and lost a lot of muscle. So, basically I am starting precontest prep with about 20lbs less muscle than 2006, so I am definitely going to have to focus on symmetry, proportion and definition. I am going into this competition with 1,ooo% intensity and nothing less! I am shooting for two natural shows this year, 6/17 & 8/16. I have always talked about competing and now it is time to shut up and put up!
Needless to say, I have fell from bodybuilidng grace recently. I was under 7.5% bodyfat (best shape of my life) and I caught the flue! I was sick for a week, my immune system must have flopped due to the long strenuous diet and exercise. I was training for my first...
You have nothing to worry about. Keep doing what you're doing. You'll be right on track. The guy below is pretty dead on about the diet. That's basically what I did up until 7 days out. Next time I carb up earlier though :-P Keep it up. I wanna see that pic of the trophy!!
If you keep your protein intake up above 225 a day, keep the carbs up at 200 and do the rest of the cutting via cardio, u should reatin all your muscle mass. BTW your most muscular shot ROCKS!
