Background
I was always the fat, moderately active guy. I was naturally strong, but couldn't seem to lose fat. I'd get periods where I was very active then I'd stop for ages. I started working out again in 2008 through Muay Thai. But it wasn't until 2009 that I started learning about lifting weights and only took it really seriously in 2010!
I keep thinking about the way I'll look after all that effort. I love the pump and the rush everytime I get to increase the weight in the gym. Also, the chicas love a fit guy ;D

naturalhench created a new BodyBlog entry "Finally! My turning point and mastery over food!".
This week has been an awesome week. It’s felt much longer than just 7 days but this is probably because so much has happened and for the better I might add. Well, firstly, Diablo 3 arrived on my doorstep last Saturday. Unfortunately, I couldn’t play it due to the global release being on Tuesday the 15th May. I have had many hours of fun on it since Tuesday though: Diablo 3 barbarian Yeah, being a bodybuilder, I just had to go Barbarian! Fortunately, I have no allowed myself to get sucked in and... naturalhench created a new BodyBlog entry "Learn to appreciate your little victories in life".
Well, another weeks gone by and I’ve learnt yet another technique to staying motivated and positive… Learning to appreciate your little successes and victories in life. I think we often overlook little bits of success and achivements in life, and as a result, only focus on the mishaps and mistakes. Most people are like that. In fact, a very famous and successful person once said: A boo is a lot louder than a cheer. If you have 10 people cheering and one person booing, all you hear is the booing.... Go to BodyBlog

Words of wisdom from my Dominican friend. I know this guy from my gym and he literally stays at around 6% body fat all year round! I asked him what his secret was and he basically eats very strict, and if he has a big/junk meal one day, he’ll fast the next day. This is basically Intermittent Fasting and the results show! He’s lean, and he’s retained size which are case in point that you don’t have to consume protein every 2 hours to keep your muscle. Martin Berkhan is another who’s maintained... Go to BodyBlog
naturalhench created a new BodyBlog entry "May 2012 progress report. Lessons learned".
It’s been some time since I’ve last blogged. Pretty much more than a month it seems! Well, I’ve learnt a lot since then, and quite a bit has happened. I finally scheduled a photoshoot session with a rather talented student photographer from Paisley and they’ve turned out pretty good! I think it really pays to get your photos taken when you’re undertaking a body transformation because you don’t really notice how far you’ve come until you see yourself in photographs. The mirror always makes you... Go to BodyBlog

I guess its the shocking transformation he had and on top of that he had not taken any shortcuts. AT. ALL. which to me is very, very inspiring. I can relate to him because I used to be quite big myself (4 years ago). Now, seeing these photos encourages me to be better and to strive for something more than losing weight and that is to gain a more muscled and defined body.
