When I Started: Jun, 2005
How I Started: Worried that I was going to keel over from a heart attack, I started lifting in July 2005 twice a week with my chiropractor, TJ Morgan, who is a bodybuilder.
Why I Love It: I love getting stronger, and also love to feel a little sore. It reminds me that I have done something other than sitting on my butt.

Plus the diet, and lifting have helped me lower my cholesterol tremendously.
How I Stay Motivated: Look at my before pics every day or so!

What else motivates me is the constant encouragement I get from my friends on the Over-35 forum. Especially my good friend Ed Cook (Old Superman).
BB Accomplishments: You will find out in November 2008, when I win my first show!

Goals:
Main Goal: Transform My Body
Goal (Short): Get my bodyfat down to under 10%, then put back on some muscle mass, without gaining fat. Probably need to get to 185 and then start gaining muscle again. Goal is to be at 190 at 5% bf by my contest in November
Goal (Long): Long-term is to get as lean as possible, then maintain a low bf% within reason as I increase my calories and put on some muscle. I would like to ultimately be at around 195, but have it be 10% or less bf. Then work hard at maintaining a life style and diet which prevents me from ever getting overly fat again!
Weight Goal: I want to LOSE 20 lb
Bodyfat Goal: 10%

I have been frustrated for the last 2-3 weeks.  I finally started eating right again, and actually gained weight, plus my shoulder aches a lot.  I almost said screw it, and just quit caring, but after talking with my chiro who I train with twice a week, and also talking with a good friend...
