I've always been pretty healthy. I joined the Navy almost 12 years ago at 129lbs. My goal was always to gain weight. Then my metabolism turned on me a couple years ago. The need to be physically fit has never stopped. But now I'm trying to focus more on how I look than the ability to do my job.
Why I Love It:
I love the being able to get out my frustrations in the gym. Especially out here in Iraq, it's a great stress reliever. I like seeing progress and I love being able to push more weight.
How I Stay Motivated:
My wife keeps me motivated. She strives to keep a great body, so I continue to push myself. Somehow she finds time to workout and take care of the kids while I'm deployed. My fellow gym-rat, Ryan, continues to push me past my limits. Without him, I wouldn't have built as much character.

I would like to even out around 195 with about 10% Body Fat. I need to grow more before that happens though. Right now I'm too soft for being 196lbs. I will be in Iraq until May-ish. That should be plenty of time to beat my body into shape.
You got it!? Whole oats, eggs, tuna, fish, chicken breasts, lean beef, turkey, vegetables, and salad, and train your butt off.... Low salt to none, and lots and lots of water and black coffee is good. But NO sodas, sweet teas, of any kind. Water, Water, Water...
Eating clean means NO DESSERTS! 6 to 7 times a day every 2.5 to 3 hours. High proteins with low salt and very low fat, lean beef and lean chicken. baked potatoes, salads, olive oil, fish oils, white rice, and no bread unless whole wheat rolls or slices. No Pastas for now. If you have only 6 weeks, you have to eat clean without any desserts. And 45 min cardio daily, no exceptions. Your wife will thank me!!! haha.
I have great way to drop it. Eat very, very clean, as clean as you can. Cardio 7 days week 35 to 45 minutes in the morning. Train with weights in evening. This split will spike insulin levels and allow you to burn fat stores. Train weights 6 days week. I might have see what you call "watching your diet." This means different things to different people
not gonna lie in iraq its really difficult i had no form of a six pac when i was there ...kinda hard to egg whites and sugar free oatmeal from the dfac..lol all i could say is step up the cardio man a higher level each week...be safe over there bro
