When I Started:
May, 2007
How I Started:
After running a marathon, I was ready to tackle some new fitness challenges. Once I started lifting weights, I was hooked.
Why I Love It:
I love the way working out makes me look but more importantly, the way it makes me feel. It's helped me gain more confidence, maintain a positive attitude, and it's completely changed my lifestyle. Running and lifting weights are great sources of strength for me, both physical and mental. I'd be lost without fitness!
How I Stay Motivated:
Progress and self-determination keep me motivated. I also read Oxygen, Muscle & Fitness Hers, and the stories of other BodySpace members regularly.
BB Accomplishments:
I'd say developing my back (it's the feature I'm most proud of) and reducing my bodyfat. Also, cleaning up my diet. To me, good nutrition is an evolution, it doesn't happen overnight. But once you really get it, it feels wonderful and the positive effects to your body and mind are truly amazing.
To be healthy, happy, and active for life! And to be built like a brick sh*thouse!! :)
Goal (Long):
I love setting and reaching new health and fitness goals. I'm so proud of all of the things I've already accomplished - dozens of races, a full marathon, adopting clean eating, benching 110 lbs, an unassisted headstand! And I'm excited about what new challenges lie ahead. I want to compete some day, I plan to still be running races when I'm 60, I want to master handstand push-ups. I want to do it all! And most importantly, I want to be ripped, cut, and a total brick house!! :)
Weight Goal:
I want to LOSE 15 lb
Bodyfat Goal:
10%
