When I Started:
May, 2007
How I Started:
After running a marathon, I was ready to tackle some new fitness challenges. Once I started lifting weights, I was hooked.
Why I Love It:
I love the way working out makes me look but more importantly, the way it makes me feel. It's helped me gain more confidence, maintain a positive attitude, and it's completely changed my lifestyle. Running and lifting weights are great sources of strength for me, both physical and mental. I'd be lost without fitness!
How I Stay Motivated:
Every now and again, I hit a wall or plateau in training, and suddenly I seem to lose a little steam and motivation. When that happens, I usually force myself to take a few days off from training. I never want to take time off from working out, but I find that when I do, I realize how much I needed the break, and that totally helps me refocus.
BB Accomplishments:
I'd say developing my back (it's the feature I'm most proud of) and reducing my bodyfat. Also, cleaning up my diet. To me, good nutrition is an evolution, it doesn't happen overnight. But once you really get it, it feels wonderful and the positive effects to your body and mind are truly amazing.

I want to get leaner, harder, and stronger, and I want to compete in 2009.
Goal (Long):
I began training for a competition last summer, but never ended up competing due to finances. I still train regularly and eat clean to stay in shape year-round, but over the next 6 months, I really want to train and diet HARD so that I can enter a show in '09. Working out comes very naturally for me, but I struggle with the strictness of contest dieting. But I want to be built like a brick sh*thouse, so it's time to diet hard and get cut!
Hello Monica! thank you so much for your lovely and encouraging compliment. I really appreciate it very much. Also thank you for wishing to add me to your friends. I hope you will be able to stop by from time!
