Comments: Well, I accomplished everything I wanted and more. I recently competed in the 2006 NPC Atlantic City Bodybuilding Championships. It was a much smaller show than I expected but the experience I picked up from it far outweighed everything else.

I'll pick up at Friday morning. I was so hungry and thristy but I couldnt have a drop of anything for fear that I wouldnt make weight. Pat and I sat around the hotel room for a few hours and then left around 10:45 A.M. for the Convention Center to get weighed in. I was hoping weigh ins would start a little earlier than 12 but I was wrong. Since it was still a bit early, Pat and I walked a few blocks of A.C and enjoyed how nice of a day it was. We headed back and I was finally called to be weighed in around 1ish. My last meal or sip of water was 18 hours ago. I stepped onto the scale and hit my classes maximum weight amount ON THE DOT. I watched as the scale tickered back a forth .2, .0, .2 again. Thank goodness that was over with..TIME TO EAT!. Pat, my buddy Tim, his friend, and I all headed over to Applebee's to get a little something in our stomachs. Well, Tim and I atleast. We couldnt relax quite yet, but it felt so good to get some decent food in me. I had a chicken wrap.

Pat and I headed back to our hotel to apply a few more quick coats of Protan to my body and then left to head back for the competitors meeting, prejudging, and the Finals. Before I knew it I was up on stage during prejudging. What a thrill.

So after prejudging, the most critical part of the competition, I got to relax. I had a peanut butter and jelly sandwich I had packed at home before it was time to go on for the Finals. Time to get pumped back up again and apply some more Pam spray to the body. The Finals consisted of a 60 second posing routine with music. I feel my routine was pretty sweet for my first show. I got the crowd into it a little at the end..per advice of Pat.

All in all I had a freaking blast. What an experience. I had an unexplainable feeling up on that stage but I can tell you one thing...it has me addicted. I said I was gonna compete, I set a goal, and I did it. Like anything, now there are bigger, badder fish to fry. I hope to compete again in a year or two much better than what I am now.
