May, 2008
How I Started:
I have been working out consistently since senior year in high school, but I did not really start to actively change my physique until May 2008 after my freshman year in college. During that summer, I attempted to lean out, so I modified my diet and workout regime to fit my goals. I ended up getting and maintaining a body fat percentage of about 9-10% until September 2009 when I decided something needed to be done about my lagging muscle mass. My desire to look, feel, and perform my best has driven me to bodybuilding. I am no longer in it to lift weights, I am ready for the next level.
Why I Love It:
No stress whatsoever in the gym. If I have any, I leave that at the door. It has improved my performance physically and mentally, and I have been reaping the benefits of a proper diet and exercise routine ever since. Bodybuilding is the only sport where it is and always will be about me. It is also the only sport where I can look in the mirror and realize whether I am winning or losing.
How I Stay Motivated:
I always think of what I can achieve. Oh, and the possibility of that future show...
BB Accomplishments:
Chest pressing 95lb dumbbells, going from weighing 134lbs after stepping off the plane from London to weighing 155lbs in November.

Goal (Long):
I have trouble putting on weight, which is the short of it. Genetics, metabolism, whatever. I know that if I don't actually put on more muscle (especially on my legs and back) then I will have one hell of a time come MSIII year for Army ROTC. My ultimate goal is to put on enough muscle (about 15 pounds) to make it to a lean, hard 155-160 by winter. This way, I will be able to cut down easily from the HIIT and Distance PT/Circuit Drills that ROTC will bring. I would be thrilled to sit around 150 at approximately 7% body fat.

Likin the overall goal there wolfe. Gotta put on that weight tho, focus on perfecting squat form and heavy deadlifts. That'll put about 10 lbs on you I guarantee. Once I started squatting heavy, I put on a solid 10 lbs on my legs, and that was back when I didn't have a good diet.
