Background

When I Started: Dec 1987
HOW I STARTED:

It all started back in 1987 when my mom bought me a Hulkamania Workout Set for Christmas. I hung up the workout poster, put on the Hulkster headband, and start pumping iron. I did not get big but I had a lot of fun. Many years later in 2010 I was watching I Am Legend with Will Smith on DVD and throughout the movie all I could notice was how big he was. I grew up watching Will Smith music videos to his television debut on Fresh Prince of Bel Air and beyond. He was a some what tall skinny guy that I could relate to but on I AM Legend his arms looked MASSIVE! He brought back that Christmas day motivation from my childhood that made me want to be big. Will Smith made me believe again. So I started reading muscle magazines which lead me to bodybuilding.com where I saw the $100,000 transformation challenge, so I decided to go for it. I decidied to gain serious mass.

WHY I LOVE IT:

I love the feeling I get after a great workout and I love the results that are possible when you workout consistently.

Mon - Arms, Abs
Tues - Legs, Calves
Weds - Recovery
Thurs - Chest, Abs
Friday - Back, Shoulders
Sat - Off
Sun - Off

- Core Exercise Each Day -
Mon - Dips/ DB Curl
Tues - Squats/Leg Press
Thursday - Bench and Partial Bench (Heavy)
Friday - Deadlift and Wide Grip Chin Ups

I use mostly 3 sets of 10 and 4 sets of the core deadlift, squat, bench, leg press type exercises.

I lift in the Afternoon around 4-6pm and I stretch with a rope before I lift. I bought the rope at lowes. Its a thick rope you can put under your feet and lift your legs up with. I will post a video showing it in the future.

I rest about 1-2 minutes between sets and about 5 minutes between exercises.

I change up the exercises every 4 weeks to keep things fresh and interesting.

velvet5900 I think you've done a great job doing your own pictures. The pictures you do at home by the door, set your camera so you can just get the top of the door, to the floor to get your feet, so that way, we can see all the many ripples you got going on! ;o) You've working out hard! Doing a great job!! I can see you're seriously on a mission! I stepped on the scale this morning and I was 135lbs. baby, so in 2 more weeks, I should definitely be able to shed another 5lbs. BOOM! velvet5900 Thanks for the encouraging words. My Mom is doing really well. Thank God. That first week was rough. I guess it's expected from having brain surgery, but it's better now, but I still like to be there to keep her company, which is very tiring. She's in rehab now, so I can get my butt back in the gym. I was staying with her that first week until she went to rehab. Yesterday I re-grouped and today I'm ready to ROCK N ROLL! So we will see what's up for this week. Take Care and thanks again! velvet5900 Hey You! Thanks for checking in, but my goal will not be met... my Mom had a stroke a week ago and I've been by her bedside every day, was even sleeping there til they moved her to rehab. She's doing really well, but no gym for a week and not eating the best, have actually gained 2lbs. I know, no excuses, but my focus has been on my Mom. I have a breather today, but I'm so exhausted, can't imagine hitting iy today. Definitely tomorrow, so we will see what I can do in a week LOL! May 14, 2012 2:09pm

PropheticMuscle Yes bro, i'm really 5'10, 284.4lbs, well that is what i weighed last time I checked. However, I've been going hard and I'm sure i'm a lil less than that now. An as far as my bodyfat percentage. I just guessed on it, because I didn't know how to measure it. I'm going to get a more accurate percentage count this week, because I'm definitey not mostly fat.
