I was sick of running. After completing my sixth marathon, I had to change things up. I loved the strict training required for marathon running, but didn't like the toll it took on my body. Or, the lack of muscle my body was able to carry.
Why I Love It:
Everyday we invest so much time in our work and other peoples lives, it sometimes feels like, "what have I done for me lately?" I consider the time I spend at the gym lifting and working out as an investment in me. The returns (hopefully): a healthier body, longer life and more attractive body.
How I Stay Motivated:
I stay motivated by planning trips, setting target dates, monitoring my progress (bf measurements, weight, max lift weights). Also, I am motivated by the friends I surround myself with and the people that encourage and support my efforts at the gym.
BB Accomplishments:
I have no professional bodybuilding accomplishments. Maybe this will be the year to take it to the next level? Can I do it? Any suggestions?
Following part two of Flex magazine chest plan. Any suggestions for a new workout plan in two weeks?
