my trainer said "hey fat ass, look in the mirror and tell me if you think your making your goals or not!!" My answer...........NO!!
Why I Love It:
Why I love it? Is there enough room here for that answer? I love the smell of iron. I crave the burning sensation of the last few reps. When I train it is my escape from reality, it is my stress relief, my therapy. Most of all I crave the feeling of being fit and confident. Everyday I follow through with my commitment to train is another day I can be proud of myself. Lastly, I love the industry and how if you are not a part of it, you just don't get it. I love how outsiders view us... how they don't get us.. how they look at us in amazement. How being physically fit is somehow looked at like we have some higher power.
How I Stay Motivated:
It's not hard to be motivated when you think of training as part of your existence. To be honest though I keep a before and after picture in my fridge and in my bedroom so it's the first thing I see each day.
Why do you like having a workout partner? What are the benefits?
My trainer is my training partner so that works out extra good for me :) I would rather train with him any day of the week than by myself... I will always work and push myself harder when he's there. Having someone to train with is a great way to ensure you don't get lazy... One of you will keep the other in line. And when you are working toward the same goals as the partner you train with it makes it all seem worth it because not only are you working toward your goals but you are simutaniously there to help them achieve theirs. It helps when they let you blare Brittany Spears too :). JUST KIDDING! Yes
If so, how do you do it? Workout log, software program, etc.? Why do you do it this way?
Workout log... You will never know progress if your not looking for it and you can't build strength if you don't know your starting point.
Just when I think I am getting close to finally getting on stage for my first bodybuilding show...... it seems I still have much more work to do. I met with a nutritionist recently that works with competitors to help prep them for stage. Well, seems I'm not as far along as I thought. ...
