I realized how out of shape I got in the Basketball off season and hated how I looked. I had pictures of what I looked like when I had 11% body fat and that influenced me to get into fitness modeling and figure/fitness competitions. I also got really sick Thanksgiving of 07' and was in the hospital for 5 days...not fun. I never want to go back to that so I decided to stay healthy and stay hospital free.
Why I Love It:
I love watching your body go through transition and knowing that it all came from hard work and dedication. I love feeling fit and knowing you have a beautiful body.
How I Stay Motivated:
First off, my boyfriend is a huge motivation to me. We both love to workout and we always challenge eachother. I can't lift close to as much as he can but we push eachother on cardio, see who can last longer. Also,
I WATCHED AN EPISODE of American Gladiators the other night and there was a man that was competing that only a one leg. He did very well the whole show until he got to the last course. He had to swim, climb a rope, run across a spinning cylinder, balance walk across a tiny tetter-totter, and then sprint up a 30% incline treadmil that was moving at a pace that is the average persons sprint. He finished the course and he was very exhausted. He ispired me so much that I would recommend anyone to watch that episode if they need a little push to get off their ass and go work out. Be greatful for what you have and if you think it's hard, someone has it harder.
