When I Started:
Feb, 2006
How I Started:
Was quite fit/healthy, then slacked off. One night I felt my pulse thump right through me after only turning in bed! I went to the doc and found I was obese and had borderline high blood pressure. I said "I can't do this to myself."
Why I Love It:
Getting me fitter, happer and more confident.
I climbed Mt Kenya (4984m), Africa's 2nd highest mountain in 2006! Youve gotta go that high up to see snow.
It's helped me get really confident in my advertising career, and more creative.
How I Stay Motivated:
Get into a routine, watch the scales drop and the cuts show. In other words results, results, results.
BB Accomplishments:
Lifting heavier and heavier.
Running further and faster.
I now have a 2-pack, up and down :-)
Ran 2x10 miles on the treadmill. No more lies. Running on the harder 'mill in the gym at an incline.
Agony!
Just done a 19 mile long run, really tough.
I was fooling myself when I thought the training would be easy.
Hit 190lb, happy milestone!
I try and complete my lifting workouts within 60 min. I train weights before I do cardio, someing I read about getting the glycogen out of the muscles so the cardio burns bodyfat.
Helped me lose 6kg and 5% bodyfat since January.
