My Workout Program
I don't have time/money for a gym membership/workout so I am doing something I can do from my home without a lot of equipment.
At the beginning of my transformation, I had purchased the exercise DVD from John Abdo called "Fitness Done Quickly." I had used one of John's previous workouts and liked his style/exercise regime, so thought I would give this "FDQ" one a try. I really like it.. I guess because I am actually seeing results. Each 'routine' is 6 minutes long.
I have realized that I really need to work on the muscles during my losing fat period, so that I don't lose muscle, too. I have purchased a set of dumbbells and have been looking up various exercises and routines that I can do with them, here on BB.com.
Here is the current workout schedule (which has to be flexible and varies depending on what other activities I have going on):
Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings:
I do the FDQ Base Exercise routine "Flex-Ability"
Then I do some pre-walk/run 'warm-up' exercises.
Then I I go out for walk/run using the Running Mate 5K101 program (http://runningmatemedia.com/5k-101/).
I then ride the stationary bike for about 30 minutes or as long as I have time.
Monday, Wednesday and Friday afternoons or evenings (right after wrok):
I do the FDQ Base Exercise routine "Flex-Ability"
Then I do the FDQ Legs Core routine,
Then the FDQ Core Routine, "Getting Waisted"
Then I finish with the "Upper Body Blast" routine.
Monday, Wednesday and Friday nights (just before sleep):
I ride the stationary bike while watching a television program or movie.
Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday mornings:
I do the Base Exercise routine "Flex-Ability"
Then I do the "Thermo-Blast" routine
I finish with the "Glutes Hips and Legs" FDQ Core Routine
I then hit the bike for as long as I have time.
Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday nights:
I go through my dumbbell weight-lifting routine
Then I ride the stationary bike while watching a television program or movie.
On Sundays, I give my body a break.
