Wrestling for sure. I played 3 sports a year, (water polo, wrestling, and badminton) every year of high school. Freshmen year I was 5'0 and less than 110 pounds. Like I said before though, wrestling is where it really started; my senior year specifically. We had to run 2 miles a day before practice, then go hard for 3 hours solid 6 days a week. My senior year I got really serious about the sport though and dropped from 131 to 117 to fit an open weight class. I looked like a POW survivor. I won best body, but the picture looked like **** because I had to take my shirt off and show 117 pounds of underfed skeleton. When the season was over I hit the weights hard and kept eating right. Now I'm a trainer and group exercise instructor, and this has become not only my sole hobby, but my sole obsession...
Why I Love It:
IT MAKES ME FEEL GREAT! I never feel better than when I finish teaching a class or getting in a perfect workout. I love the pump, the looks, the energy, and the confidence that comes from not just the gym, but exercise in general.
How I Stay Motivated:
By believing I have the ability to inspire others with my physique, work ethic, and passion for fitness.
BB Accomplishments:
San Diego Classic 2009, bantamweight, 6th place
Border State Classic 2009, bantamweight, 4th place
San Diego Classic Triathlon 2009, 2nd place
National U.S. Army civilian pushup contest winner: 313 without touching down to rest.
High school- best body by student poll(The list is short, so I'll take what I can get)

What should look for in a gym? What should you avoid?
I personally ideally look for a gym with as little cardio equipment as possible(waste of space to 99% of the people that ATTEMPT to workout on them) and an extensive free weight set. A gym that has a decent proportion of attractive girls is a plus too. Ya know, for motivation.I personally ideally look for a gym with as little cardio equipment as possible(waste of space to 99% of the people that ATTEMPT to workout on them) and an extensive free weight set. I've decided I want to compete in an amateur BB show this year but have no clue where to find contests in my area, rules, regulations, requirements, etc. I've passively followed the Pro shows over the last few years but have yet to actually see one in person. I'm curious if anybody out there...
Training is going great. Its hectic this week with all the company dinners and most importantly my bday! haha. But im still finding time to get my training in. Ive come to far to slack off..even for the holidays.
