Overall Goal: To have someone come up to me at some point in my training and go "Dude, have you been working out?" LOL. In all seriousness, I just want to live better and feel stronger both in body and mind.
Fit Status:
hurt my back again. 2 weeks no lifting
I was a 114 pound skinny kid so I wanted to "get big." That's not why I'm here though. I have recently been lazy and I'm working on getting back into it to stop feeling like a pathetic wimp. Even though I had been working out off and on since I was 21, I'm putting my official start date as July 2007. It's only since then that I really got serious about getting in shape, and since then I have been religious about not being such a wimpy bitch like I was.
Why I Love It:
I love the feeling I get when I get off my lazy ass and get to the gym.
How I Stay Motivated:
Right now I'm still taking it day to day. I'm noticing that the more I work out, the better I feel and look and the more confident I'm getting. I'm seeing my depression finally not being an issue in my life and that's motivation enough to keep pushing myself harder and harder in the gym.
BB Accomplishments:
I finally reached a goal I've never been able to do in my entire life - bench my body weight for 8 reps. Ok, so it's not "major" but it is for me.
To have someone come up to me at some point in my training and go "Dude, have you been working out?" LOL. In all seriousness, I just want to live better and feel stronger both in body and mind.
Goal (Long):
Just keep going one day at a time. I want to remain consistant in a training program and not give into the "I'll workout tomorrow" temptations. I want to train my body so that, in time, I will regain my confidence in myself, which in turn, will help me train harder to live a healthier life. And someday, become a BADASS. (just kidding)
Well, I'm not sure how to word this. I've been really trying to be consistent in my workouts. My one day at a time philosophy has been working well, and even though I'm not really making gains at the gym I'm at least getting off of my ass and working out. One thing I've noticed is my mood...
This program has 2 workouts. I try to stick with Monday-Tuesday and Thursday-Friday, with Wednesdays and weekends off. However, if work gets in the way, I'll shift the sets either way one day onto the weekend, making sure to keep only 1 day off between workout pairs and only 2 days off after...
