How I Started:
It all started back in high school when I went through some tough ****. At first going to the gym and running til I puked was a punishment. I did it too myself to relieve some of the stress that I was going through. My last year in school it got a lot better, and by that time it was fun to hit the weights 5-6 times a week. I also got a kick out of throwing my ipod on and going for a run. Things got worse again and I picked up fighting, MMA. I got on a team and was training like I never thought possible. I was finally getting the body I had always wanted, I was in great shape, and I was fighting amateur pro fighters. My team got invited to an NIT(national invitation tournament) in Arizona. I had gotten my weight down to 175, so I was fighting some smaller guys than I was used to. I did very well and got a sponsor to offer me spot in the UFC. I couldnt believe what I had become. Three days later I got my second DUI, and fourth felony. So I had to make a choice... keep ****ing up or change my ways completely. I declined the offer and joined the Marine Corps as an 0331, infantry machinegunner. Since I've been in I havent gotten in trouble once. I picked weightlifting back up and do a few Muy Thai workouts I remember my coach teaching me.
Why I Love It:
It puts me above the average joe and even the average Marine these days. It makes me strong and is a huge stress relief. It also keeps me out of trouble.
