Jul, 2007
How I Started:
I was always the skinny guy in school til I got hitched. I went from 150 to 210 lbs., on the chubby side. I've since lost the weight to 180 lbs. but now it's time to get serious and put on a little mass.
Why I Love It:
A for sure relief from day to day stress. When I work out I get in a zone of my own and it feels great. Yes pain can feel good!

When it's hard to drive home after the gym, that's a good workout!
Alright, although I'm just now getting serious about strength training, as you can tell by my pitiful pics, I've been doing alot of reading and research for the past four or five years. What I've come to realize, it's the shock you give your muscles that makes them develop to what they become....
You have to stay at it consistently in terms of diet and exercise. Results (positive or negative) don't happen overnight. They are incremental and creep up on you. Keep your head in the game and you will achieve your goal.
My training is going pretty well. I am maintaining weight and it appears as if I am getting leaner. -kenji
Life is good. My training needs a little jolt but other than that all is well. Be sure to keep Mama happy. Because if Mama is not happy, nobody is happy. ;) -kenji
Training is going good bro, thanks for asking! I've actually made a little progress over the last 4 weeks (in how I look, not necessarily in mass!) Glad to hear you've had a good month. Keep working hard bud - it will definitely be worth it in the long run!
Life is good. I just got back from a VERY busy trip to NY for a dragonboat race. I was out of the gym for four days and am dying to get back in despite my sleep deprivation for these last four days. How's your training going? -kenji
Thanks again!! I'm really glad you noticed my nails..LOL They're my "girly" thing - they always have to be perfect! (Must be the Virgo in me!! LOL) - melita :)
