When I Started:
Apr, 2007
How I Started:
Going through basic training in January of 2006. I started to work out then but not lift weights. I didn't start lifting until April 1st of 2007. Pretty much just the regular Army routine of running and pushups.
My legs are still dead from the other night but I decided to run today until I couldn't go any farther. Seeing all the dudes on here with insane bodies and that being my end goal, cardio has to be a big part of my training. I have got my diet nailed in and my routine, now it's just time to kick...
Thanks bro for stopping by! Yeah, I want the complete package and legs need to be brought up to get that. Good idea on the hammy photos, I will do that tonight. Stay motivated and keep training hard, don't let the fatties around you bring you down!
well, when you get back and everyone has to start doing PT again, you will be able to kick their freaking butts. I use to love when I got to lead PT and my LT was hung over or something or just got back from leave, we would absolutely destroy the guy, then when I moved to the scouts, my LT was a absolute stud andn he trashed us every week but it was cool, good training. Well, I am split'n take care and keep staying motivated.
that's good, so you can trade people out pound cake for chicken breast? that is a good trade. can you guys over there receive packages easily or need anything? you just tell what you need and how to get it to you.
I'd eat the M&Ms too. Chicken Breast hmmm, do guys fight over that one, that is new, of course I am sure the menu has changed in the past 9 years since I ate my last one.
You know, something I have not been doing but plan to start is pullups. These use to be the base of my workout adn I think really helped to form my structure. In the army, my back was pretty developed. I am going to start adding them back in. I woudl suggest the same, wide grip, under hand, over hand, whatever, they are all good. Thanks for the encouragement Bro? How is everything going for you? You are coming home soon, right?
Why the hell did I assume Marine? Must be the haircut and tattoos! Doesn't change my opinion at all - We're all on the same team. Your only problem is too much velcro on the new uniform ;)
That's one hell of an "occupation". Congratulations on becoming a Marine, and thanks for taking care of your fellow Marines when the family needs it most. . .
I have more trouble with close grip dips than wider ones, I can use my chest more on the wider ones and they are easier for me, I do dips thou on chest day. If you do have trouble, maybe you are doing closers which is more arms (?) I do them as my 4th exercise out of 5 but I was thinking on moving them up to number 3 so I was a little more fresh and can maybe start doing weighted dips. Maybe if I get to 5sets of 15 reps. Everything going ok for you?
