It all satrted my freshman year in college.Running was my life and outlet then, but when foot surgery left me unable to run my first collegiate track season, i turned to the weight room and became additced! Then i turned to Figure compitions-now I'm hooked!
Why I Love It:
Running has always been my first passion, but i love the way staying in shape and being healthy makes me feel. When I am working out, I am not a mom, not a wife, not an EP-I am simply "me" and a better stronger me because of it!
How I Stay Motivated:
My children keep me motivated to be the best I can be, not just for me, but for them.I want to set an exapmple for them , to be a role model, so maybe one day I will be the one to inspire and motivate them throughout thier lives. Oh and also visualizing myself recieving my pro card and to one day be on stage at the arnold classic motivates me as well~Arnold is my hero!

5th place figure short TN state show 2006(just 5 months after daughter was born!!)2007 OCB Core Nutrition made 3rd place figure novice,5th place open figure, 2nd place fitness model (by one point!).Novice figure Overall, Open Figure Overall at OCB mr/ms Indiana Natural,2008. 2008 Midwest States 1rst in class and Open Overall figure~Recieving IFPA Figure Pro Card, 2009 NGA Heart of America,first in class and figure overall winner,recieving NGA Figure Pro Card!!

Just 5 months after my second baby! entering this contest was my way of making myself get back in shape and refusing to be one of those moms who just "lets themselves go"-and i made a top 5 placement!

Goal (Long):
I want to look and be in the best shape of my life. I want to be more than your average girl in the weight room. I want to go above and beyond what I think is possible and exceed my own expectations. I am a SUPERMOM and want the body to prove it! I want to train hard and eat right and fine tune my physique that will hopefully one day be worthy to grace the pro stage, i also want to be able to break 19 minutes for a 5K and to challenge myself to be get faster and to be the best i can be everyday and to be the best supermom ever! I also want to utilize fitness and figure as a means of achieving a higher self-confidance level, to help rebuild self esteem and body image, not only within myself, but hopefully for others as well.

RUNNING! i started running when i was 12 and have never stopped. i enjoy the challenge to get faster,and i enjoy the mental game only racing can bring.
Wow,what a FUN race this was!!! yeah i know,im the sick individula who actually enjoys the brutal distance...LOL!!! but this was a really good race,and i did so much better than i expected,and in all honesty,i could have dropped my time by a few minutes if i wasnt so concerned about pacing...

OMG shush. You were a stand up professional. Sorry I didn't try to get up with you, the group I was with was rushing a lot of things i.e. eats and evening socilaizing. Thats what happens when no one in the group is competing, we had other things on our minds. BTW there is a Lenda Murray competition giong on this Saturday Aug 22 at the Chrysler Hall in Norfolk VA. I'll be there "spectator" again. hehe.
Thanks girl, I just completed by 5km run on the TM in 32:06, I feel so good. My speed varied from 7-10km/h. What do you eat before running? I had a cuppa coffee and whey pro is it OK?
Hi chica, long time no hear. All is well in my world, been training hard and on CKD. My gym buddy is competing in figure this weekend, so I have been supporting (gruelling training) her for the past month. My body has responded well and I want to start running after her show. I know you do 50-70 miles a week, how much per day? How is your training, when is the next show?
