When I Started:
Sep, 2008
How I Started:
I just got into doing weights to try and get fit and hopefully look good on the beach in the summer.
Why I Love It:
I love the burn from a good session in the gym whether it's cardio or weights. It's the sense of achievement when you've pushed yourself a bit further and beaten your best.
How I Stay Motivated:
I look at magazines, read other blogs and profiles for tips and new ways to train and I just try to keep my work out fresh.
3rd August 2009 - Health Check at LA Fitness

So all in all things are looking good but got to work on getting my BF down, I was shocked how high it was but then it was done on a machine not calipers!! But this now gives me an amount to lower to hopefully in 6 weeks this will have gone down!! (I am on holiday tho in that time....)

Normally between 8 to 15 reps - depending on the paln I am working out to at the time.

How long do you rest between sets on average? Why?
Normally between 30 seconds to a minute rest. I like to feel the burn in my arms and sometimes if I leave it too long my arms do not feel like they are being pushed enough.
last night I could hardly move, my legs are still aching like a b*tch but they are getting better I was even able to give them a little stretch this monring so I am getting a little bit of movement back... Ok so the question is do I go play football tonight or do I just relax again and let...
That's awesome I've played wing, flyhalf, inside and outside center and now I officially the fullback which isn't my favorite position but still alot of fun. Why don't you play anymore?
Good. I trained yesterday morning and evening. Did a few extra on abs. Feeling it today. But couldn't get up this morning. Think I went got to bed to late last night.
Have to train tonight!
How did your training go?
Hey, I'm thinking of assembling a crack squad of friends (a bit like the A team, but without Mr T) to exterminate those pesky X factor twins soon (not that I watch it, of course). Are u in, or are u in? They have to go, literally.... from this earth....
Hey babe thanks, not sure how much the abs will keep poppin at this rate. Saw the doc bout my shoulder- its not the ratator cuff, its a muscle tear grr. Trainings on hold bsically. Hows u? u recovered frm footie?
Hey u, ive been alritttte I guess.. feel bit crappy lately cuz of the shoulder. Ive been medicating 4 times a day and its helping a bit- could only get a doctors appt at the end of the week, I rlly hope they can do sumthing 4 me. How u been?
The work thing - I had practically the same thing with a woman at work who ended up never returning after claiming a heart attack (after I called her a home as she was off more than she was in). It didnt help that she was older than me and couldnt handle me being in charge. some people are just so sad! Hitting the gym much?
training has been really good thanks. I cant train to build a BB type physique, as I do too much martial arts training. Its kinda at odds to attempting to build size - not enough recovery time! I managed to build 4Kg of muscle in 3 months, basically by eating a lot more (especially protein). I'll soon lose it, but hopefully as the bf% lowers, I'll still have a little muscle left at the end and wont end up looking like Mika, lol!
Hi mate, hows it going? Like the footy avi! Read the blog - things any better now - it sucks when people think they've got the systm sown up - had it myself a few years ago running a team at work. Hate to see someone else experiencing it - Man I was so angry back then, rarr!
