I was always an athlete in school and my parents were both really into health and fitness. My dad was a bodybuilder and my mom was a fitness instructor and worked in a health food store. So I just grew up that way and it will always be a part of my life.
Why I Love It:
I love how it makes me feel. I feel like a slob if I miss a workout! I love being healthy and looking fit. I like to see how my body changes with the workouts that I am doing. I also love how our bodies are so mysterious and incredibely unique.
How I Stay Motivated:
I get motivated with music. Music helps me through my workout and to start the workout. Also if I see a picture of myself and see some things I would like to change.
BB Accomplishments:
I have increased my weight in what I can lift, so that is always a plus to see gains in stregnth not just hypertrophy. My legs have started to really take shape.....my bum is getting firmer and more shapely. ;)

I tried to get to a weight I was happy with....did not completely make it! The fur coat hides some of me.
Mady, I'm not sure you and I are looking at the same thing, because you already look great! I can't really tell in the last progress pic, but the middle one is awesome. I'm not an expert like some of these people on here, but I do know that if you want to change, you have to be consistent on both diet and exercise. And diet is (in my opinion) 75% of it. And you CAN commit to it! I can't wait to see your progress!
We quit our season tickets this year. Bird has ruined the team and its hard to spend the money to go see them lose all the time with a bunch of thugs. Congrats on making the Pacemate squad.
You're welcome. Ah the Pacers starting up again already . . . well nothing against the Pacers or you but I find basketball kinda boring (I blame it on growing up in the Pittsburgh area) so I rarely watch basketball . . . However, I'm sure you and the Pacers will kick some butt. Best of Luck
I'm glad to hear that my words helped motivate you :) LOL, yeah I think sticking to a diet and not drinking is the toughest part of it all. I'm sure you can get where you want to be. I'm currently applying/interviewing for neurosurgery residency . . . fun stuff. Woohoo another future doctor who knows how to stay in shape; good luck down the path, let me know if you have any questions ;)
Yeah i got you well i always tell people you really can eat anything but that just means that you got to burn more calories so if your keeping active than you'll be alright. Wow pacers goodluck this year on that
Congrats on your decision to take it to the next level. Stay focused on your goals & Keep training hard! Keep in touch as you transform your body- I'd love to see you progress. Have a great weekend!
I know what you mean about getting to a comfortable point and just staying there- kind of stagnant. I also know that keeping a healthy diet can be the hardest part. It takes a lot of self-control and focus. I try to think about the consequences before I eat poorly. I think "how will I feel, what will this do for my goals, will I regret this later, will this help my body and mind to reach their fullest potential?"
