I was in Basketball in highschool and we started weightlifting. I got good at it real quick and it became a part of my life.
Why I Love It:
I love being fit and athletic. I train in self defence and strength and conditioning is a big part of it. Eat meat and vegetables, nuts and seeds, some fruit, little starch.
Practice and train major lifts: Dead lift, clean, squat, presses, C&J, and snatch. Similarly, master the basics of gymnastics: pull-ups, dips, rope climb, push-ups, sit-ups, presses to handstand, pirouettes, flips, splits, and holds. Bike, run, swim, row, etc, hard and fast. You can follow along with workouts at crossfit-fortbragg.com
Five or six days per week mix these elements in as many combinations and patterns as creativity will allow. Routine is the enemy. Keep workouts short and intense.
How I Stay Motivated:
Watching any Mixed Martial Arts (mma) like UFC, WEC, Elite XC, IFL..ect. Those guys are strong, fast and explosive.
I was always thin but i started lifting and got big and lean. I stopped lifting when I found out I was going to be a Dad and I haven't recovered. I got up 210 and went from a 30 inch waist to 36!! I was lean at about 178 and now I'm a flabby 195. The goal is to get to 180.
"CrossFit is in large part derived from several simple observations garnered through hanging out with athletes for thirty years and willingness, if not eagerness, to experiment coupled with a total disregard for conventional wisdom. Let me share some of the more formative of these...
Thanks for the response dude. This is great stuff!! I tried a few of the exercises and it really takes it out of you!! Before, I was doing 3 5minute rounds with my bodyweight doing sprawls, push ups, pull ups etc etc. And it really tires you. Now I'll add some weights into it too. This is gonna be tough!
hey dad just here babies are dancing around being silly =) I gave them a bath already cuz they were all stinky and sticky. My head does not hurt as much but I am still hot. I still got fever =( oh well 2 more hours left....... Love u

It all depends on you. You are the only person that can make yourself a GREAT trainer or an average trainer..A lot of it is how much you know about fitness, health, and nutrition. This is what trainers should know. If you know your stuff and it shows, you will build a great reputation and word will get around. Got to practice what you preach right!?!? If it really is your passion, others will see that and know that you are serious about health and fitness.
GO FOR IT!!
