I want to transform my body as far as I can reasonably go without injuring myself in the process.
Goal (Long):
I want to lose 15 more pounds, down to 200 (I started at 235), and build up my muscle mass. I'd like to see if I can go from a 35" waist down to a 34" waist. I'd like my biceps to be visibly bigger. Same for my shoulders.
Your story tells me that you could overcome any adversity. Your drive, ambition and just plain old guts, are admirable. But in addition to all that, you have a very well developed physic and you're the perfect role mode for all those men in their forties and fifties that need to start thinking about their future health and wellbeing. Thanks for being such a great role model for our health, wellness, fitness and conditioning. More people look up to your fine example than you'll ever know!
Who in their right mind would not aspire to look as good as Russ does? It almost defies logic that anyone could simply make up their mind to apply themselves and achieve the results that Russ has. I just know that Russ will be a winner at everything that he puts his mind to!
By now you may be getting pretty depressed. You're asking yourself, why should I believe this guy when the diet industry promises me immediate results? "You'll see results in one week", "I lost 20 pounds in 10 days", etc ... Note that they do not say that all of the weight...
Supplements? Sure. There is, in fact, a thread about supps in the "over 60" forum. http://forum.bodybuilding.com/ group.php?do=discuss&group =&di scussionid=6171 You could just jump in with your questions there.
I just noticed that you're in our "Over-60" group (I was about to invite you to join). I'm sorry if I did not welcome you at the time. I'd sure like to make more of our forum on the group page. Join in on the conversation there.
