Have always been athletic. However, never lifted much weights. Been teaching aerobics since 1993 and Personal training since 1998. Always wanted to compete since the early 90's was inspired to finally do a figure competition held in Aug 2005. started training for it in Feb 2005. I won 1st in the Masters and 2nd in tall class. Since then I have been competing.
Why I Love It:
It's my anti-depressant. It cost nothing to do just your effort, which I believe to be priceless. I enjoy the way it makes me feel and I enjoy helping others obtain that feeling. Exercise is so underrated, it can be the cure for many things if people would just try it and put fourth the effort. Remember the IRON never lies to you it can be your friend.
How I Stay Motivated:
CHOICE. It's a choice to press fourth. It's a choice to quit as well as persevere. Life is dealt to us in many different ways, but the bottom line is the life you have it's your choice to improve it, maintain it or settle for it. There are a few people God has placed in my life that are there for a reason. To help me stay motivated when I want to make the choice not too persevere. God and my husband are two main ingredients to my life that I need to maintain my endurance. I have a few (I do mean a few)close friends that always have my back,they know who they are to them I say THANK YOU!
BB Accomplishments:
2008 Earning IFBB Pro Card. and Yes DIET! UGH! I love to eat. Keeping a strict diet is a big accomplishment for me. Check out my competition history. Each show is an accomplishment for me because well Life it happens and STILL you have to RISE!!

Goals have changed- God has done it again-WOW! What an awesome father I have. My next step was to do the Arnold Amateur BUT I must send my letter to decline now. Since going Pro WOW! that sounds so good. Continue figure and help show women that muscle is beautiful, sexy and still hot! But get the word out about what Figure is. I compete against myself. There is no other body like your body and I strive to improve this body I have. I have two goals to perfect my presentation on stage and to continue to reshape my legs-not just build muscle-but shape. Ladies there is a difference. What is the one tip you would give somebody who is just getting started?
Learn proper form and be patient. Every excerise shoud have a purpose. Learn it. Never do it just because someone else is. Always ask-What am I doing? What celebrity body would you most like to have? Why?
Well I really do not want any celebrity body. Really I love my body. Now maybe I could have just one of beyonces paychecks or maybe just 1% of Oprahs check. LOL. But I am very motivated by all the top fitness and figure gal and Adela is my motivator. Valerie Wuagman she is the body i wouls most like to have. But right now I am pretty content with the body Im building- Well I really do not want any celebrity body. Really I love my body. Yes
What type of injury was it? How long were you injured? How did you recover?
Tendonitis in elbow. about 3weeks. Had to lay off lateral raises and front raises.
Description: 6th place 2nd National show and I had a blast. It was late and I was tired and there was only a little bit of love backstage at this show. All the girls were beautiful BUT only a handful where beautiful inside it was kinda sad but I felt great because God gives me the joy I have and NO man or woMan can take that away!! Weight training
Currently I lift heavy about 12-15 reps of every exercise. LEGS well thats a little different-I do about 10-16 sets of leg press. OUCH HEAVY!!! Squats lunges stiff legs leg extension and curls

Hey Sista in Christ, I have a question. I have to put on some mass, at least 10lbs, what do you eat to put on muscle? My trainer told me to eat clean but eat potatoes etc. I'm scared I will go over board and I guess I am scared to gain 10lbs since I just lost weight but I want to do whatever is necessary to win my comp.
