As a former Military Police officer I found that working out gave me the strength, stamina,intensity and confidence that I needed to perform regular MP, SRT and PSD duities in garrison or on deployment.
Why I Love It:
Even though I have had extended gaps in my training time due to medical issues I have always come back to it and it has always made me feel better both mentaly and physicaly. I am 38 years old and I am stonger and healthier than I was as an adolescent.
How I Stay Motivated:
I look at my daily progress and use it to keep me motivated. I also look at the success of others and use it to motivate me to push myself.
BB Accomplishments:
Weightlifting has given me the body strength to overcome a limiting medical condition.I have been diagnosed with a collagen laxity in my joints causing hypermobility. It made some military service related injuries more serious causing me to leave the military. Through weight training I have found a method of strengthening my body and compensating for the weakness in my joints.
