Hey buddy, how's it going? The personal training gig is awesome man, that's really inspiring... Doing something you love and getting paid to do it! Doesn't get much better than that. Looking good and sounds like results are just pouring in with you, good job man, you're a huge inspiration.

Yeah, the jar of jelly beans was totally unnecessary, especially after the person knew your situation. Kudos to you for resisting their tempts. It does make it more difficult, and that sucks. But hey, if this were easy, America wouldn't be so fat, right?

Thanks man! Yeah I'm realizing that I can't just track everything in my head. If you look up something like "weight-lifting tips" on google or any fitness website, one of the biggest basic rules is to keep track of everything in some kind of log. Everyone who has had great results keeps track of everything, every day. Can't argue with results.

Thanks bro! The words of encouragement are always appreciated. Yeah I'd say the diet is probably the hardest part for me. I'm always bouncing between extremes, never seem to be able to control myself and consistently stay in a happy medium. You seem to be making good progress man, keep it up!

Hey man how's it going! I realized you sent me a message like a month ago and I never replied, sorry bout that! Still workin on the G.I.-physique. Ever since the quarter started I've lost quite a bit of weight but I haven't lost any strength so I guess it's all fat! Anyway seeing some good definition now. I kind of like where I'm at weight-wise so I think I'll just stay there and try to gain strength but without gaining fat. how have your goals been coming along?

do a search for overhead squats on youtube to see the form. You grab a barbell and push it up over your head and hold it up there for the entire set. You squat with the barbell overhead the entire time, it's extremely challanging and builds muscle from head to toe.

It's been working out really well for me. I feel like my body just responds better to that type of training. I get really excited about the numbers I'm putting up, especially on my leg exercises (135 on overhead squats for 6 reps.) I'm sort of getting more excited about my leg exercises right now than upper body, which I think is essential to developing an overall strong body anyway. How is your training? I can see huge growth in your photos!

Yeah I went to the gym that morning and had an amazing workout! Haha. I had to really fight the drowsiness later that afternoon though. My progress is going great as always, how about yours?

Hey how's your progress coming along? I just got out of the gym and wanted to share something with you that I tried and I'm really excited about. Instead of going for 10 pullups, I did 5 really slow and strict body-builder style and then I superset it with single arm lat pulldowns, 5 on each side so I still got a total of 10 reps on each arm. What a great burn! I think it should help bust more pullups out.

Nice! You're not far behind me, I did 10 the other day, had to cheat on the last couple. Then I did a 5 second rest-pause and did pulled one more.

You make a good point. Oh and yeah I do all kinds of different grips throughout the workout. I try to get as crazy as possible with it and do mixed grips and alternating from side to side, whatever I can think of. It has made a huge difference.

Thank you! I'm really happy that I was able to make a difference. Your gains are definitely showing too, I see much more muscularity and definition. Great job and keep it up. I hope to be around 13 or 14 pullups next month, it's little things like this that motivate me more than anything.
