When I Started:
Aug, 2005
How I Started:
Reading the Body for life website. Reading bodybuilding.com website.
Why I Love It:
The way it makes you look and feel.
I want to be the guy walking a long the Beach with his shirt off and everyone going **mn, he's ripped.
How I Stay Motivated:
Well I let myself go for the past 4 yrs. I just ate what ever I wanted without any thought of what I was doing to my body.
I went from 155 lbs to 231 lbs within 4 years. Yikees! So I started reading Bodybuilding articles and wanted to look cut with no fat on my body. As I research I found out just because you start going to a gym, doesn't mean your going to be cut. So I started the Body for Life Challenge. I needed motivation to start and that was it for me.
I knew I wanted more out of life and I was ready to change my lifestyle. So I started eating cleaner "I didn't say clean; I said cleaner. I ate badly all my life and it will take some time to stay away from McDonalds, but to be honest with you it really hasn’t been that hard. My biggest weakness is eating, I love food. Not just any food, Southern food. “Now this hard to give up.”
I drink over a gallon of water every day and got me a trainer that pushes me hard in the gym. I know have a food trainer “Derek from Scivation.”
Besides my son is 14 years old and my Daughter is 17 years old and I didn’t want them to grow up thinking being healthy was a bad thing.
My son loves sports to much to be unfit. So when I started my workout program. I put him into one also.
BB Accomplishments:
By just doing it. Getting out of the recliner and getting started.
Forum Signature:
It takes more than just walking in a gym; it takes heart, dedication and will power to get up at 4 am to workout.
To transform my over weight rear-end into a stud machine.

How I got started. Well I let myself go for the past 4 yrs when I returned from Iraq. I was a tooth pick and I missed my wife's cooking and the fast food. I just ate everything and anything I could. Well I went from 155 lbs to 231 lbs within 4 years. Yikees! I started reading Body for life after...
Just checking in to see how your workouts are going? I have been really working out hard and kicking up the cardio and feel great after my surgery! Happy Training! Amber
They are going alright, muscles won't build enough on the upper body fast enough for me though...lol. Legs are growing like crazy though. How is everything with you? I need to work off an extra cheat i had this weekend.
oh that stinks! Well, you just have to readjust and work it out. You can do it. Don't give up ok? You got this. That is a sweet deal for the Golds membership. The Scivation vanilla whey protein is pretty good, i was impressed. Its creamy.
