I've been training for sports since I was a child. My father was a power lifter in his youth and his knowledge was always there growing up. I moved to CA from FL and found that the activity level out here is much lower than that of FL. I turned more towards the gym for my hobby. After training for awhile I realized that I really know what I'm doing so I decided to become helpful towards other individuals and started training. After attending a couple of fitness shows I got hooked and decided to start taking bodybuilding as a career.
Why I Love It:
I am one of those people that achieves things fast and then get tired with them. Bodybuilding is great because there is no end. That's where the whole phrase "it's a lifestyle" comes from. In the gym I can always come up with a new goal and therefor I am never bored. I also love to cook and setting up meal plans and coming up with new recipes is something I'm challenged with everyday.
How I Stay Motivated:
My motivation is myself. I'm goal-oriented and when my mind is set to something it's set.
BB Accomplishments:
To gain work in the fitness industry.

My ultimate goal is to just be happy. After all that is what life is all about. Each day I like to wake up a little mentally and physically stronger. Life-Body-Spirit are all connected and as you heighten any of these the rest are ultimately elevated as well. I love to train and eat healthy because you just feel more in tune with your body. As I have gotten more and more "fit" my perception, state of peace and reasoning have been much more clearer. I know this sounds kinda yoga spiritual, but it's all true. I don't know whether it's for real or a new mindset....kinda like drinking tea from an exotic tea pot with incense burning and one of those smoking waterfalls flowing, you just feel peaceful. Same thing with training and eating healthy, I'm not 100% sure if it's what I'm doing or it's all in my head. The bottom line is it doesn't matter. Ultimately I'm happy.
My first egocentric message on here....and I deserve it! Today was leg day and "The King" put up 1,485 lbs on leg press for 6 deep reps! That's 16 plates....on each side, no more room! The best part about doing this is the looks given from around the gym. Makes you a little...
I make it a point to execute a different workout program every couple of weeks. I love coming up with new exercises that you won't see done at the gym. Everyday I train I think of a way to make this harder or focus more on my core. The stepopedic balls come in handy for these exercises. I...
The best part of all of this...is you only get better and better if you stick to it!! I lost the lbs 7 years ago and have kept it off that long! So it can only get better!!! Have a fantastic weekend!
Hey Mike!! Thank you!! I'm gonna keep raising it now too!! Next goal is to train and try a Women's Tri Fitness next spring!! Big smiles!! Have a wonderful weekend!!
10-12 meals per day! Why? I've only lived in Buffalo, Albany, and Central New York, never in the city. And I acted in church plays when I was younger and acted in one play in high school. So, I don't think we've met, but a lot of people say that I look like someone that they know and thats that. Hope you had a great day!
Sounds like you're moving in the right direction to accomplish your goals. I'm taking it one step at a time. Started walking/running, abs, legs... I've also made changes to my diet. So far, so good.
