Maintain good health, gain 10 pounds of muscle and get my waist to 32 again or smaller.
Goal (Long):
I realize at my age that this is a tuff goal. We tend to loose muscle as we get older and at 50 it is difficult to gain muscle (at least that is my opion)I sure could use some of you older guys (and younger) thoughts and knowledge on what you do to gain muscle. I respect guys around my age that try to stay in shape. I want to curb my diet and supplement program but could use some advice in that area. Will welcome all suggestions and advice. Guys around my height and build especially
Well, I have managed somehow to injury my shoulder in the back. I do not recall lifting and saying "Ouch, I hurt my shoulder". It just kinda came on me without any fan fair. Through the years I have kinda been proud of myself for the fact that I am careful about how I lift and my form,...
Mike--
Thanks for visiting my bodyspace page and for the "add". I have reciprocated. It's great to find so many "Over 50's" guys into fitness. Don't quit!

Hey Mike - Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner. Injuries are tough, but taking the time to let them heal pays off in spades later. Be careful and when it feels like it is OK to go back to the gym, take a couple of extra days just to make sure. I did that in regards to my back a while back and it worked well. Take the time to work out diet stuff and do a bit or research in the mean time on a new workout routine. That will keep you focused.
It has been going well here! Blog kind of chronicles some of it. Be careful with the joints. When you are doing certain movements, do them slowly and avoid the temptation to get through a repetition quick. Slowly lower the weight and slowly bring it back up. When I hurt myself is when when I am being "jerky" ... continue to be relentless.
Hey Mike - Glad to hear about the changes in diet. Glad to see you got some pics up and I'll look forward to tracking your progress bro ... continue to be relentless!
