Wanting to get stronger, bigger, and leaner. During flight school, my good friend turned me on to lifting. He was ripped and I wanted to be. Right before I got married is when my body really started to grow and I saw results. I wanted to look good on my honeymoon and the thought of getting bigger, stronger, and faster made me hungry to train. People said that I got bigger and that was all the spark I needed.
Why I Love It:
The feel of making my body grow, reducing stress, and knowing that I am doing something that a lot of people aren't.
How I Stay Motivated:
I told my wife that I am going to come back from Iraq next year looking like one of the guys from the movie 300. I also have a picture on my wall of a gentlemen that is incredibly ripped and that is what I want to look like. I also told a friend of mine that I want to get into NFL Combine shape and bench press 225lbs, 20 times. I won't stop until I weigh 215lbs, I have less than 8% bodyfat, and can lift the weight above.
I want to get bigger, stronger, leaner, and faster so I when I go back to the U.S. on R&R, my wife won't recognize me!
Goal (Long):
I have always been a skinny guy. I recently changed that and want to keep going and pushing. I currently weigh about 205lbs and my bodyfat is in the low teens. My goal is to get my weight up to 215lbs, get my bodyfat down to under 8%, and bench press 225lbs 20 times all by May 2008.
Mon-Fri: A.M.-Cardio (30-60 minutes on the treadmill, alternating between sprints and a jog). I train calves five days a week and abs three times a week.
It's about mother f-ing time you add me as a friend! Geez!
I have to say, I'm really happy with how I look so far.. and it's all thanks to you! You're awesome for helping me as much as you are. =) But we ain't done! 48 days left..... LoL
I got you, if food is difficult use the cave man diet. Meat Veggies, at night and Carbs and Pro drink for the day. Lots of H2O, man up on your training also. That will never fail..Keep ya head up and stay low out there. Good talkin to you anytime BigMike
Mike, in order to lean up cut out refined sugar from your diet for one month straight. One week do chicken, next red, next fish next chicken-fish-red.
It redirects your digestion system to maximze absorbtion of nutrients. Macronutrition..fact
Thanks for the info. I'm glad I'm not a freak by myself ;-) So it's resolving itself? Have you found that working out aggrevates it? I had a orthopeadic surgeon who specializes in hands and wrists basically tell me the same thing as your doc. Ignore it...hopefully it'll go away. At least it doesn't look like it's hindered your workouts!
Okay, now I have to do a video clip. I dont know if I have that move in my files. stand in the middle of your cable rack, reach up one arm and grab the pully and pull it toward you. at the end of the move, your elbow will be at your hip....and lean into it as you pull inwards.
