I'd been working as a manager in restaurants and bars, eating great food, drinking with clients and MANAGING to get myself a nice fat belly!! Having been fit most of my life this just didn't cut it so i headed out to change myself and find the best way to manipulate my body into looking like one of those guys on the cover of a magazine!! So i took myself off to a personal trainers course!! Now i love it.. still haven't charged myself enough to get on a cover.. lol.. but just watch me.. now i'm on my way!!
Why I Love It:
I find bodybuilding to be food for the soul.. As I've always been compeitive by nature and I have found a continuous internal challenge within myself which is fought out with a few tonnes of iron on a regular basis!! A physical challenge that tends to focus me in all areas of my life.. if i'm not training hard i don't seem to be working hard!!
How I Stay Motivated:
I am generally highly motivated and self-driven!! I always want something more from myself!

Not sure on how to answer man, way too many factors involved. Sorry to be vague but wanted to give you my honest assessment. Best of luck man if you shoot for it.
I was doing cardio 5x a week for 45-60 mins and i was told that it would eat up too much muscle so i should to 2-3x a week ? Any thoughts? you have the look i want so i'll do what you are doing lol
Hey man, I'm not familiar with the cut diet vol.4, I see Layne co-authored it. My understanding is that the cut diet is very low carb and has certain rules for re-feeds, macro combination, etc. Layne's philosophy is more directed towards individual needs starting with protein, carbs depending on bodytype, and the remaining necessary calories as fat... and go from there. I'd have to read the book though to know for sure.
Michael, great job bro your looking great. I've had a similar mass gaining gut last winter and hope to rap up my cut in a few months. Keep hammering those puppies mate and your dog is awesome.
