How I Started:
I have always worked out since joining the Navy. However, I have let my hard work at the gym go for not with my poor diet.
Why I Love It:
I don't know what it is; I just love the feeling of pumping iron! Plus, in my recovery from chemotherapy I want to get into the best shape of my life.
How I Stay Motivated:
Look at myself in the mirror after looking at some really in shape people.
I just got finished with 2 months of inactivity due to recovery from chemotherapy to get rid of lymphoma. I'm feeling better now and ready to get back into the gym.
Goal (Long):
I had to take some time off to fight off this cancer that has been affecting me for the last 7 years. It looks like I may have beaten this thing so now I'm ready to really focus on making my body as strong as possible and be the best I can be.
New germs every week--yeah, I hear ya. Funny thing, for me, being a teacher, I'm immuned. Maybe it's from all the time spent around all those runny noses. Hope the chemo didn't leave you TOO open to germs.
Don't be so hard on yourself Mike! Progress is progress. We all had to start somewhere. Awesome looking back routine Bro. Might I suggest doing the cardio after lifting. Your more anabolic & higher testosterone levels mean muscles will burn more fat. Your body naturally wants to store fat & eat up your muscle, so you have to trick it into burning mode. Just a thought...Dave
