Duttysouthwales I pretty much met my original goal of not feeling weak and packed on the extra weight and muscle mass I wanted. But in many ways it was a superficial goal and in that respect my gains were also superficial. Duttysouthwales Can't say I really gave it much thought. When I started training I went by sean nalewanjys theory. Weight training kills muscle cells that grow back stronger so my 2nd set was always a weight that I could only manage 6 to 8 reps of before failure. Never used a spotter to ensure a do or die attitude. Now I favour olympic lifts an combat trainin to generate more "practical" an explosive power to feed my competitive edge. May 18, 2010 6:40pm
