When I Started:
Oct, 2005
How I Started:
I first got into fitness when I got my first job at a high-end fitness center. Since I was in a healthy environment, I had free and easy access to the gym equipment, and everything was right there at my work, I had little excuse not to take advantage of it!! I began to do weights and play Squash and soon I was in the best shape of my life and loving it!
Why I Love It:
I love working out because it gives me the chance to escape everything and just focus on me and my goals. I find myself about to be stronger and tougher, as I push through sets and reps, always trying to beat my old numbers.
When I am eating right and working out I feel at my best and when I am looking my best I am confident and accomplishing so much.
I love how our bodies are made and how intricate and complicated we are. It fascinates me how we are able to adapt and recover, even at the worst of times.
I have the right to love my body and love how I look. But to really get there I need to love the process. Besides, I love to eat so if I don't workout I'll end up obese! :)
How I Stay Motivated:
I don't always stay motivated. I'm always up and down and inconsistent. That is something I am working on. One day I will be at a point in my life where I am the one who is motivating me, keeping myself going, and I am not relying on anyone else.
Until then I lean on family, friends, sites like this one, books, magazines, TV shows, and my music. Sometimes my anger helps too.

melstejskalchanged Weight from 140 lbs. to 136 lbs., a 4 lb. loss in 24 days
I have always struggled with attaining my ideal body and weight, and I have never been fully satisfied with how I look. Recently I had a job that took too much of my time and was stressful, not to mention that it was a cookie store, and the result was that over almost a year I gained 15 pounds of unwanted excess fat! I have never been this heavy in my life and my goal is to get back to my original weight. My goal after this is to continue to train and reach 12% body fat with an amazing body that is strong, lean, sculpted, and most importantly healthy.
I believe our bodies are amazing in their structure, and with gret nutrition and proper exercise we can all look and feel our best. On my journey to reach my goals I am not cheating. I will only be eating right and exercising consistently to reach my goals. I hope to be an example for people that it is possible, with patience, to reach your goals naturally.

Do you track your workouts (exercises, weight, reps, etc.)?
Yes
If so, how do you do it? Workout log, software program, etc.? Why do you do it this way?
I use a simple composition journal book to log my workout routines (exercises, sets, reps) as well as what I ate for that day. I also leave notes for myself to remind how I felt that day, what I might need to work on, and how great I did.
I keep track of my progress for many reasons:
1. Keep me motivated by being able to see where I came from and where I'm at
2. Keep me accountable by being honest with what I write down. If someone were to see my journal I would want them to be proud and impressed, not make me feel emmbaressed.
3. It's fun!
4. It's proof of my hard workI use a simple composition journal book to log my workout routines (exercises, sets, reps) as well as what I ate for that day. I also leave notes for myself to remind how I felt that day, what I might...more

What type of nutrition plan are you currently following? Give full details.
Yeah I was kind of slaking to... I took to weeks off but now I’m back in the gym. Good to see you’re getting back at it. Let me know how it goes and have a good weekend
i kind of playing around with my carb and calorie intake right now as im trying to put on some size. I still follow the same baseline rules like sticking to clean foods (oats, egg whites, chicken, sweet potato, broccoli, whey protein, brown rice, lean ground turkey, asparagus, red grapefruit, bananas) I try and keep the complex carbs and fruit earlier in the day and spread fats and proteins throughout :)
