I spent 2008 going from overweight to normal weight. Eating healthy, tracking calories, exercising regularly. For 2009 I want to become stronger, lower my body fat, and educate myself even more with all things fitness/nutrition.
I've done Jillian Michaels "Making the Cut" and I'm currently doing "New Rules of Lifting for Women." I finished stage 3 and I'm taking a break before stage 4.
Why I Love It:
I love the way it makes me feel and look.
How I Stay Motivated:
Compliments, Feeling good and feeling healthy, and my progress keeps me motivated. Even if it's slow sometimes, I like to look at old pictures and compare them to now and know that I'm doing something good for myself. I also like helping other people and inspiring them to better themselves.
BB Accomplishments:
Finishing Jillian Michaels "making the cut." But i'm still working on "major" accomplishments.

What tips would you give to others to help them stay motivated over the long-term?
Make small goals to reach, but have a large overall goal for the future that way even if you come close to reaching it, you've accomplished a lot. Take progress pics to see how your body is changing, buy flattering clothes as rewards to make you feel good about yourself (if you keep wearing those baggy clothes, no one will notice.) Thats too bad. I realize how frustrating it can be with an injury. I had to lay off a lot due to my back injury. Patience is a good quality to have in the gym :-)
