How I Started:
I have always had a love for fitness but in 2000 I hired a trainer and got serious. I began training for my first figure competition in October of 2008
Why I Love It:
It makes me feel empowered and the people you meet are amazing.
How I Stay Motivated:
My 4 year old son motivates me to stay as happy and healthy as I can.

Competed in my first Figure competion in May 2009 and placed 4th in the National qualifier.

Things have been rough, but I'm making my way back now. The move and starting school was a challenge, and I wasn't prepared for how hard it felt. I was so lonely when I got here I ended up going back to some old coping habits which had me binging on weekends, but I'm feeling better now. I am not doing a show in Nov, I am focused on school - doing both is just too much and stressed me out. How are you doing?
Thank you. I took 3 weeks off of strict dieting and eased up a bit on training to let my body recover from over 6 months of cutting down. Put on a couple lbs but Im feeling great. Started back on last monday, cant wait to see what 38 days does to me now that I have a better idea of how to do it properly. =)
Melissa, I'm doing the same thing. A friend of mine wants me to come to Jersey to compete in Nov, but I think I'm going to add more mass and wait until next contest season. I want to compete atleast 3 times next year.

Thank you sweet heart...I feel good. Just hoping this last week of prepping goes well. I didn't have much energy last week at all. but I have to stay focused and do this the right way this time.

Thanks for the add! My training is ok, but my diet is not...every weekend since my show has been a shambles and I'm super stressed right now which is not helping, acccck!! Got any words of encouragement for me?

Thanks Melisssa. The prep is coming along as expected. I'm actually feeling very good about where I'm at. I recently started doing the cadio...because I didn't want to come down too fast...like last time. 4 weeks left...hmmm. I think I can do it...lol.
