Used to work out on a regular basis in the Air Force. Since then...Between school, working the night shift (11pm-7a), commuting, and JUST PLAIN EXCUSES, I have been continuously gaining weight. Once I hit the 180's I knew that something had to change or I was going to continue with these bad habits and be up into the 200s before I knew it. I have now been on a rollercoaster ride with staying consistent and falling offtrack. Time to get it together & start to feel confident again, get back my self-esteem, and live out a dream to step on stage.
Why I Love It:
You feel fantastic after a great workout and feel good about yourself. Almost like a type of high. I also can't wait to see my transformation and feel like myself again. Love to see the gradual changes in my body.
How I Stay Motivated:
Looking towards the light at the end of the tunnel. Sick of being on a never ending rollercoaster ride. I'm ready to do this and see the stage once & for all. Sick of playing games with myself and making excuses & being lazy. IT IS TIME.
Taking a look in the mirror. Very uncomfortable with myself right now. Miss being able to wear anything and still have a whole wardrobe of small clothes that I can wear (lol). People think I'm crazy that I haven't gotten rid of them. I vow to fit into them again. Also taking out previous picks of myself and imaging myself getting back to that point more toned and healthier.

Lost some weight but not as much as I had hoped. Thought it would show more in pictures too. Rearview pic was so bad, I'm not showing and my camera battery is kaput.
I want to lose bodyfat and gain muscle while still maintaining my curves and femininity :)...I want to get the body shape between a bikini and figure competitor so I can crossover between the two in the future.
I would like to get down to 130 - 135lbs offseason & 125lbs onseason. Tone & shape my body, especially the dreaded ab, butt, and thighs. I would really like to round out that butt and have some nice curvature to it.
Continue to work on running. Have never been a runner, but would like to continue on working into running in the Falmouth road race in 2009.
I am also interested in competing. I used to love to watch the fitness competitions on tv and still have many old ones that I recorded. I've struggled with going back & forth so my planned comp date didn't happen but I am looking at competitions in the fall of 2009, gives me some time to prep. Articles are saying to give yourself 1year out. That gives me ten months, lets see what I can do :)...
I would like to lose fat (especially around my midsection) & gain muscle (especially definition in my arms, abs and legs).Would love to shape my butt, always been a butt girl and my butt has just gotten big, flat, and saggy. Basically I would like to transform my body to when I was younger but also add more definition to myself.

Still working on that one. Although healthy food starts tasting better the more that you stay eating healthy. At least for me.

Cool. We are both in transformation contests, my competition is on June 6th! Don't worry I have a looong ways to go, check out my "before" pics. But I am focused and determined and I want to make this self promise! Look forward to watching you change...
