Melinda (aka) Smiley (lol, seems to be unanimous on this site).
Used to work out on a regular basis in the Air Force. Since then...Between school, working the night shift (11pm-7a), commuting, and just plain excuses, I have been continuously gaining weight. Once I hit the 180's I knew that something had to change or I was going to continue with these bad habits and be up into the 200s before I knew it. I would like to get back into the 130s by working out and eating healthy.
Why I Love It:
You feel fantastic after a great workout and feel good about yourself. Almost like a type of high. I also can't wait to see my transformation and feel like myself again. Love to see the gradual changes in my body.
How I Stay Motivated:
Looking towards the light at the end of the tunnel. I'm incorporating my training in with school and trying to make my first weight loss goal of getting down to 150lbs by May 30 so that I can also wear something cute for graduation :)
Taking a look in the mirror. Very uncomfortable with myself right now. Miss being able to wear anything and still have a whole wardrobe of small clothes that I can wear (lol). People think I'm crazy that I haven't gotten rid of them. I vow to fit into them again. Also taking out previous picks of myself and imaging myself getting back to that point more toned and healthier.
My mother - I know she is looking down at me awfully upset and happy. Upset because I've gained so much weight, even when I was skinny, she warned me about eating habits. Happy, because I'm going to become a nurse, something she envisioned me doing since I was a little girl. My sunshine, Rest in peace.
My father - He's blunt, he'll tell you if your getting fat, lol. Plus, he thinks I'm joking when I tell him I'm on a diet & am going to compete in a figure competition in October. Well, dad it's on and I will show you :), Love you.
My Brother - He gained weight & well when we saw each other years later (he lives in Okinawa), he was like, "damn I thought I gained weight", lol. That was in Sept 07.
My other brother & family. I'm embarressed to even go see them. Last time I went out there I was around 140-145 and they thought I was had gained a lot of weight, lol. If they even knew. My brother does, but I will lose it before I see them. Plus he talks about how skinny he's gotten (in a bad way), so I told him "I'll give you my fat, but there's no way in hell...I'm handing over my muscle", lol.
BB Accomplishments:
Right now...Just getting my a** back in the gym (lol)

Goal (Long):
I would like to get down to 130 - 135lbs by the end of the summer. Tone every part of my body, especially the dreaded ab, butt, and thighs. I would really like to round out that butt and have some nice curvature to it.
Continue to work on running. Have never been a runner, but would like to continue on working into running in the Falmouth road race. If not 2008, definitely 2009.
I am also interested in competing. I used to love to watch the fitness competitions on tv and still have many old ones that I recorded. Will compete in the OCB Cape Cod Natural fig comp. A lot of work to be done to get my body up to par. Would like to go see a couple of competitions as well as find a trainer before I do one too.
I would like to lose fat (especially around my midsection) & gain muscle (especially definition in my arms, abs and legs).Would love to shape my butt, always been a butt girl and my butt has just gotten big, flat, and saggy. Basically I would like to transform my body to when I was younger but also add more definition to myself.
What celebrity body would you most like to have? Why?

What are your secrets for making healthy food taste great?
Still working on that one. Although healthy food starts tasting better the more that you stay eating healthy. At least for me.
So yes, I am officially entering the 3wk challenge for Last Man Standing and 6wk challenge for Baby Got Back. :) ... My goals: Eat Clean the whole 3wks (no cheats) and kill the entire backside. I am talking about the back itself, glutes, and hammies. I am more conerned with seeing some changes...
