When I Started:
Jun, 1997
How I Started:
I started lifting when my Mom bought me my first York barbell set when I was 16 yrs. old; I had wanted to train in the martial arts but my Dad was afraid that I would get injured (he had a friend that lost a testicle during sparring). So, after I followed the York "system" (a sheet of 24 exercise) I started reading Muscle and Fitness, Flex, Muscular Development to try to understand what I was doing...
As I got older I started learning more about nutrition and more intensive training techniques. I tried working with personal trainers (which I still do from time to time b/c you can always learn from people better than you!)... I even went as far as getting my accreditation with CANFit Pro as a ceritifed Personal Trainer!
Why I Love It:
I love the feeling that I can do anything (physically, mentally, spiritually) as long as I take care of my self! I love knowing that I am in a special group of individuals that love challengine themselves and helping others - this is not the narcissitic sport that the general population thinks it is...
How I Stay Motivated:
I stay motivated by reading various publications and the internet, going to the gym and meeting other people who share the same goals as myself!
BB Accomplishments:
Getting my Personal training certification! My goal is to someday compete (once I get over my shyness) :>

Goal (Long):
10/22/2007
JANUARY 2008! You have to set a goal and stick to it!
Today is the day I do not accept failure or the status quo... I will make no more excuses for teh way I look or feel! Only I have to change, not the world!!
I can totally relate to your goal. Everyone tells me I'm lean and they ask why I want to cut. I guess it's time I get unconventionally lean! Sounds like that's where you're at, too. We can help eachother! :)
Not too much new was sidelined for a bit health wasnt all that it should have been. Probably from my strict food intake. That and the docs said I was dehydrated. So Ive taken most of this month off. But starting next week Ill be back at it so its all good.
Naw only family I got here are my closest friends and the gym hahahaha. But thats cool. Yeah Yokohama has a lot of the same things as Tokyo, its not that far away and rent is cheaper in most places.
Hey Meikai,
What is the intensity of your cardio. Do you have a heart rate monitor? I have one that tracks my results. What are your supplements looking like? I take a super vitamin called Vemma and I use a energy drink before I cardio called verve. I also use Gaspari products they are really ligit. You can get great discounts at *** nutrition.com and you can grab the vitamins at my site or at www.myvemma.com/mcclish13. Check that out and get some free info.
What's up Bertram,
I hope you are still training hard. I know that I can help you reach that elusive 9% body fat. I have been doing this for years and I just issued a challenge to all my clients. visit my site at www.resultsfitnessandnutrition secrets.com and check out some of the free tools I will be offering soon. Also if you want to check out one of the supplements I swear by for energy see me at www.myvemma.com/mcclish13. Hope to hear from you soon.
Bertram - good to hear from u buddy. Hey, but we are on opposite sides of the globe! My cutting diet is detailed in my latest blog entry. It also gives a complete rundown of my supplements.
Hope it helps buddy and wish u success!...In Christ, Gert
Yo "B", as far as my routine, I diet to gain muscle mass. I'm a small-frame guy. My workouts are based around 'H.I.T.' training. It's basically four points regardless of the exercise: INTENSITY, PROGRESSION, FORM AND FREQUENCY. Take a look at my page to get some idea of how I work.
Good Luck with your goals
