I was a skinny kid that didn't want to be skinny anymore. One of my dad's buddies from work was selling a weight bench with some old sand weight and I bought it for $50.

Have you ever had a lifting injury?
Yes
What type of injury was it? How long were you injured? How did you recover?
2 Strained Supraspinatus (SP?). I just had to take time off and then train around them. They still get inflamed but I know to back off and give them time.

Year End Review

 

2008 is over.  And for the first time in my life I’m going to take the time to stop and reflect on the year past.

 

Overall 2008 was a success.  The 1000 pound gorilla in the room (Junior’s Sickle Cell) has really been put into his cage at the moment. ...

I hear that! And.. it's almost time to get even busier! I'm back in the gym consistently again (tweaked my knee on squats about 2 months ago). My goal for now: cycle through your intense workouts again and live lol. Otherwise I'm good, but I miss your words of encouragement! How's the shoulder?

Hellooooo D!!! Wow, it's been forever! Those darling little boys in your avi must be teenagers by now! ;) lol...j/k. So you hurt your shoulder doing curls? I hurt mine 2 YEARS ago benching and it STILL bothers me! How are you doing and how is training? Is your shoulder doing better?

Time and speed. I do a 2 minute sprint and then a weight exercise, alternating throughout the routine. The sprints go up in speed each time and supposedly the ramp angle, but I need to build up to that. The running itself is hard right now.
