How I Started:
I have always had a passion for working out ever since I picked up my first weight. After playing sports through high school and college staying in good shape and being competitive was very important to me for both my health and mind.
Why I Love It:
The discipline, determination, and dedication that it takes. If it was easy everyone would do it!
How I Stay Motivated:
If you ever plan on stepping on stage again its pretty tough to not be motivated! Or try going to a show, if that doesn't motivate you nothing will!

Still losing fat; I caught a really bad virus that put me out the gym for a month. I'm looking to get back into the gym very soon. I've got a lot of muscle to build. I never realized that I was this small before; I've got to consider balancing out my weight-loss with muscle building. I don't want to weight 154lbs. 170 is good but I am 175 right now and no where near my 11% Bodyfat target.
I was wondering what the best way to warm up my muscles before my actual workout. I use the elliptical machines for 5 to 10 minutes to get my blood flowing. Is that good enough or do I still have to warm up my muscles with a lighter weight as I lift?
Good to hear. I'm hopefully going to get onstage again next spring. Mr. Natural MN again potentially. I hear you on the trying to improve thing. I try to take 2yrs off between contests so I can improve as well. Best of luck in your offseason!
