When I Started:
Nov, 2007
How I Started:
I worked out quite a bit in college (although I think that was more to counter-act the beer I drank) but didn't get serious about conditioning my body until I was 25. I simply decided one day that I wasn't living as healthily as I could and decided to kick myself into gear and start focusing more on my diet and workout routines. I was doing a pretty decent job until I got into a motorcycle accident a little while ago and probably reset about a year's worth of work - but now I just get to make a new goal - get it back! I'm just getting back into the gym again now and loving it! I feel like I am starting new!
Why I Love It:
When I do something, I like to do it the best I possibly can. And in this sport there is no ceiling. It can never be mastered (kinda like golf). There is always room for improvement which means it is something I can do as long as I possibly can and always be able to improve!
How I Stay Motivated:
My inner knowledge that "good enough" simply isn't good enough for me. I always want to get better.
This was taken in july 2008 when I was pretty happy with my body. I have since been in a motorcycle accident and have been laid up for a while. I lost some mass and almost all definition and now I am working on getting it back!
I will update with new progress pics later this summer. I am trying to get back to whereI was pre-motorcycle accident, and then to add a little mass on top of that.
I was in a motorcycle accident a while ago and my body took a serious turn for the worse. Being out of the gym for almost two months I lost a lot a good muscle and all my definition. I am just getting back into the gym now (mostly rehabbing and PT - no heavy weights yet) and I can't wait to get it back! I was breaking through a plateau and setting new personal bests for almost every muscle group the week before I went down so it couldn't have come at a worse possible time. I am excited to be back in the gym (I was going stir-crazy for a while!) and am looking forward to getting my body back where I like it!
