When I Started:
Oct, 2006
How I Started:
I've always worked out on and off. Used to be very active with basketball. I get in shape and look good then start cheating cause I can get away with it for a couple of months then fall out the routine. Each round my set weight keeps climbing, dunking gets harder and I don't feel like half the ball player I used to be. My wife is pregnant with our first child and I realize if I want to teach our son my love for basketball it would be a shame if he never sees daddy as a guy with skills that can dunk. I figure I got about 6-8 years before he can appreciate that and if I am struggling now at 26 by the time he is of age I will be useless on the court.
Why I Love It:
Enjoy pushing my body and seeing the improvements. Feels like building an efficient machine that looks good.
How I Stay Motivated:
Its a matter of desire. Ask yourself what you want and take the steps to get there. Progress always motivates.

From experience I knew it only took me a couple months to get back in shape so I procrastinated until it had gotten really bad. 255 lbs in this photo.
Natural light shot again. Can't tell if the heavier lifting is paying off at all.
I don't know why but my mojo just came back like a month ago. Actually probably started back in May during a work trip. Started doing P90X cause of crap hotel gyms. Expensed meals didn't help since it was steak and all kinds of extra rich food and drinks.
Thanks for the comment, it has been alot of work and steady progress the past few monthts. Now I am at the point and have less to lose, its D day at the gym now. Hoping to get to 10% body fat by december.
You have been getting some good results as well keep it up!!!
