I got started working out in general after several events took place in my life, including the passing of my mother, my sisters' illnesses, and my own need to heal emotionally. I've always been active growing up, but as an adult once I got out of the military I got very sedentary. I realized there are so many illnesses that can be prevented just by making smart and healthy choices so I took a year long course at the local college and got certified as a Personal Trainer. BUT I still lacked discipline and searched for another Personal Trainer to mentor me. After much thought and discussion I then decided to train for competition. I get more excited about it with each training session.
Why I Love It:
I love seeing the transformation. I love the way I feel when I leave the training center. I love being able to motivate others. I love being around others who have the same interests. I love knowing that I am setting an example on the importance of being fit and healthy.
How I Stay Motivated:
Prayer. Others motivation and excitement, and progress motivates me. Seeing what it does to people when they are not making healthy choices. My husband training with me and telling me he has a hot wife.
BB Accomplishments:
I'm working on it still, but I have manage to stop gaining weight. My first accomplishment right now is I've gone from a size 16 to size 12. (and, I'm rolling right along.)

Unfortunately I was blocked from the run. I had swollen lymph nodes and they put me on 2 antibiotics and another one for headaches. They made me drowsey. I wanted to do the race and then take the meds when I was done, but my husband refused to let me go. (he was looking out for his wife) So I...
Yikes! I read your comment and thought, "Arrr, I wrote THAT?" I definitely meant it for humor's sake and do NOT endorse violence. Glad I made you laugh! :)
