When I Started:
Aug, 1991
How I Started:
I was thin... and unhealthy. Quit smoking, went vegetarian, and started working out. Started at 128# with a 28" waist (no kidding) and bulked up from there.
Why I Love It:
It's all continuous progress, and very rewarding to have this level of control over how I present myself to the world.
How I Stay Motivated:
It's an addiction. For an addictive personality, you can destroy yourself or build yourself up. I've chosen the latter.
This was taken before I started working out. I was toxic from drugs, extremely thin and had virtually NO bodyfat. This was the day after my 31st birthday.
Taken just after getting back to my workouts after a rotator cuff injury which forced me to veg for 8 months. Trying to INCREASE my bodyfat (I wanna be a BEAR) along with muscle thickness.
I want to appear thick and stocky, which is opposite of my natural build which is tall and thin.
Goal (Long):
How to turn a thin-twig frame into a substantial chunk of meat? I envy guys who have naturally thick muscle base, because I wasn't born with it. Basically want to keep getting thicker and "substantial" over the years.
Weight Goal:
I want to GAIN 25 lb
Bodyfat Goal:
25%
